Lil Uzi Vert has shared a four-and-a-half-minute trailer for their forthcoming album, The Pink Tape. The long-teased project is scheduled to arrive this Friday, June 30, according to Uzi’s official website. The record will be their third studio LP, following 2017’s Luv Is Rage 2 and 2020’s Eternal Atake.
The new clip is essentially a music video medley, mixing animated sequences with live-action shots as it flips between song snippets that fall across a broad spectrum of styles, from Uzi’s signature Auto-Tuned trap to thrash metal. Watch it above.
Uzi is about halfway through a three-year probation sentence after pleading no contest to charges of felony assault with a firearm and misdemeanor injury, stemming from two separate altercations with an ex-girlfriend. He’s continued to release music and play shows consistently, most recently featuring on Bring Me The Horizon’s “AmEN!” and performing at Sunday night’s BET Awards.
