Last week, Jamie Foxx's family revealed that the actor and musician had been discharged from the hospital after suffering a medical complication last month (April 12). Today, daughter Corinne confirmed they'll both be co-hosting a new reality TV show.
We Are Family is a music competition where celebrities will be paired up with their non-famous relatives and perform duets. The audience of 100 guests will attempt to guess who the celebrity is to win up to $100,000 each. The father-daughter duo had previously starred in another game show, Beat Shazam, for five seasons. Upon Foxx's hospitalization, Nick Cannon was announced as the show's new host.
"We are thrilled to be developing We Are Family with Jeff Apploff and our friends at Fox Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of Beat Shazam," the Foxxes said in a press statement. "We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we've had creating it when it premieres next year."
