Jamie Foxx has shared his first public comments since his hospitalization on April 12 after a medical emergency. In an Instagram post, Foxx wrote "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed." He also reshared an Instagram Story announcing Nick Cannon filling in for Foxx on the show Beat Shazam, writing "Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon. See u all soon."

Foxx's postings arrive the same day as TMZ's report of Foxx's family and friends privately asking for prayers for the Oscar-winning actor and comedian, whose condition has largely been kept under wraps. In a post shared on April 12, Jamie Foxx's daughter Corinne said that her father "experienced a medical complication" and that the actor "is already on his way to recovery."

Doctors were initially uncertain about what caused Foxx's hospitalization, according to a TMZ report published April 13, and had begun a series of tests to determine it.
