According to a New York Daily News report Troy Ave was released from prison after posting a $500,000 bond. His mother paid the money after putting up her home. The rapper had been held on charges of attempted murder, weapons possession, and other counts connected with a shooting at a T.I. concert on May 25 at New York City's Irving Plaza music venue. Troy Ave's bodyguard Ronald McPhatter was killed but the rapper vehemently denies being the shooter.
As part of his release he must wear an ankle bracelet and cannot leave New York City. He has also been told he cannot enter bars, arenas, and "performance venues" limiting the rapper's ability to show up to concerts he had previously scheduled.
Troy Ave's representatives were not immediately available for comment.
