Roland Collins, also known as Troy Ave, was discharged from NYU Langone Medical Center today and appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court, New York Daily News reports. The rapper is being charged with attempted murder and unlawful discharge of a firearm. Collins plead not guilty to the charges that stem from a shoot out that left one man dead and three others injured inside of Irving Plaza in New York City on May 25.

"Mr. Collins here is the real victim,” Collins' lawyer, Scott Leemon, told New York Daily News. Leemon also asserted that the man who was killed at the event, Ronald McPhatter, was a close friend of Collins and worked for him as a bodyguard. Collins is being held without bail.
