Veeze has shared his first new songs since the release of Ganger (Deluxe) in October. “ATL Freestyle 1” and “ATL Freestyle 2” both feature Luh Tyler and Rob49 and share a single Freewater visual treatment.
On “ATL Freestyle 1,” they trade eights over a stripped-down midwest beat that sets Veeze (a Detroit native, now based in a suburb of the track’s titular city), Tyler (a 17-year-old phenom from the Florida panhandle), and Rob (the heir apparent to New Orleans’ rap throne) on firm — if slightly uneven — ground. “ATL Freestyle 2” is a bit looser, with each emcee taking a full verse of his own atop a more embellished instrumental.
