Tina Knowles says Beyoncé doesn’t carry personal toilet seats on tour
Bey’s mother denied the viral rumor in an unsolicited interview with a TMZ paparazzo.
Earlier this month, Beyoncé fans and haters alike speculated on whether the decorated pop star might be bringing her own toilet seats on tour. The rumor mill began to grind when a photo of a seemingly incriminating carrier case marked “BEYONCÉ” and “TOILET SEATS,” allegedly captured behind the scenes of Bey’s “Renaissance” tour, was posted online by the the U.K. tabloid The Sun in an “exclusive” report.
On Monday, however, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, denied the seatgate allegations in an unsolicited, impromptu interview captured by a TMZ paparazzo as she left the airport in Los Angeles.
“That is so ridiculous,” Knowles replied when asked to comment on the rumor. “Those are stands that you put fans on; they’re called toilet seats.” The FADER cannot confirm or deny whether this is indeed a thing, but we’ve reached out to a representative of Beyoncé for comment on her mother’s claim and the situation at large.
