Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice have joined forces to release “Barbie World,” an Aqua-interpolating instant summer hit they first teased last month in the global trailer for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie. The track follows PinkPantheress’ “Angel,” Karol G’s “WATATI” feat. Aldo Ranks, and Dua Lipa’s “Dance The Night” as the fourth single from Barbie The Album, Barbie’s “official companion,” due out July 21, the same day as the film’s wide release.
The new track puts Spice and Nicki’s complementary flows over a bombastic trap beat from RIOTUSA that sticks close to its source material: Aqua’s 1997 classic “Barbie Girl.” It comes with a music video directed by Hannah Lux Davis and set in an extremely pink doll house. Watch the clip below.
