Key Glock has shared a new EP titled PRE5L. The project arrives on the one-year anniversary of the death of his cousin, fellow Memphis rapper Young Dolph. Dolph’s friends, his family’s IdaMae foundation, and the city of Memphis are also marking the date with Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton Jr. Day of Service (Dolph Day) in celebration of the late legend’s life.
PRE5L is five tracks long and comes with a video for its Tay Keith-produced opener based on the horror series that spawned the song’s sadistic title character. The EP also features production from Hitkidd, Sosa 808, and Bandplay, but Glock raps every bar of the record, with no guest verses to be found.
Back in January, Glock dedicated a standalone single called “Proud” to Dolph’s memory. He appeared on Gucci Mane’s “Blood All On It,” which also includes a posthumous Dolph verse, in April. And in August, he featured on Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine track “Ungrateful.”
