J.I.D has revealed new details about his forthcoming project, The Forever Story, and shared its second single. “Dance Now” is four minutes and change of lightning-fast wordplay, complemented by a soulful chorus from Kenny Mason and Fousheé. It arrives alongside a Trey Lyons-directed visual treatment that finds the Atlanta emcee patrolling a blighted suburban landscape where violence lurks around every corner.
The Forever Story is due out August 26 via Dreamville/Interscope. In addition to the new song, it will also include January’s “Surround Sound,” which features 21 Savage and Baby Tate.
