Kanye West leads a biblical jailbreak in “Hurricane” video

Kanye West has shared visuals for "Hurricane," the de facto opener of his 32-track August 2021 tenth solo studio album, Donda. The song, which features The Weeknd and Lil Baby, has been nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

In the new video, an animated army of black-clad prisoners break free from a prison island. A Ye avatar rises from the waters, inspires his co-fugitives with a speech, and baptizes lego Jesus before the exodus goes airborn, the whole crowd ascending into the clouds.

Donda 2 arrived in February but is still only available via Stem Player, a move that makes it ineligible for Billboard charts.
