Starting in 2010, Wilco's Solid Sound festival has brought consistently interesting lineups to Mass MoCA in six of the last 12 summers. Today, the festival announced its 2022 lineup. Wilco will headline, and multiple Wilco side projects such as Jeff Tweedy & Friends, Nels Cline: Concentrik Quartet, and Mikael Jorgenson will also perform, but the rest of the lineup features a broad array of acts, many of whom are far outside the band's folk-rock purview.
Among the featured performers are power-pop quartet Japanese Breakfast, art-pop outsider NNAMDÏ, freak-folk singer Bonnie "Prince" Billy, southern folktronica duo Sylvan Esso, intergenerational post-punk icons Iceage and Mike Watt + the Missingmen, and interplanetary jazz messengers Sun Ra Arkestra and Angel Bat Dawid.
The event will fall on Memorial Day Weekend (May 27–29) this year. Tickets are available via the festival's website. View the full lineup below.
