Boy Harsher stay true to form on “Give Me a Reason”
The new track comes from the duo’s forthcoming first film, The Runner, out January 22.
"Give Me a Reason" is about as Boy Harsher as Boy Harsher gets. Augustus Muller's punchy, minor-key synths, ominous bass line, and pummeling drum machine are band staples, as is Jae Matthews' disturbed crooning — as is the sense of impending doom that permeates every inch of the track.
It's fitting, then, that "Give Me a Reason" will play in the duo's forthcoming horror short, The Runner, out January 22. The song is both the second single from the film and the second track on its soundtrack album, following the October release of opener "Tower." The Runner (Original Soundtrack) will drop on January 21 (a day before the film) via Nude Club and City Slang.
