Here’s JPEGMAFIA performing Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”

In Glasgow, Scotland, because where else?

In 2013, when he was still going by the name Devon Hendryx, Baltimore artist and proud CRJ stan JPEGMAFIA shared a delicate, Auto-Tuned cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's biggest hit, 2011's "Call Me Maybe." Unlike Jepsen's original, it didn't seem like the type of thing that would go down well at a sweaty concert to a euphoric crowd but, then again, I'd never considered the possibility that Peggy would play the song in Glasgow, Scotland, where even the bleak introspection of The Twilight Sad elicits a beered-up singalong. Above, then, is JPEGMAFIA covering Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" in Glasgow, pushing the Auto-Tune to its outer limits as he gets swept up in the chorus, drawing out backing vocals from the entire audience.

Correction: JPEGMAFIA originally released his cover of "Call Me Maybe" in 2013. The FADER regrets the error.
