untradition is trapped in a snowy prison in his “FEBRUARY” video
The anxiety is palpable in this mental prison built by the Canadian artist.
With the Safdie Brothers' Uncut Gems taking off, untradition's video for "FEBRUARY" should find plenty of fans. The stark black and white video from director Devon Little features untradition rapping to himself in a mirror in an isolated cabin as well as facing the wilderness without a soul in sight. It's a memorable video that conjures the uneasy duality of not knowing what's next while being sure of the fact that your current environs aren't comfortable in the slightest.
The song, which features freeform jazz production and frenetic sax melodies, is heightened by its angry shouts and maniacal laughs. By the video's end, untradition loses it, leaving the viewer to figure out if he ever makes it out of the cabin. Watch "FEBRUARY" above.
