Chance The Rapper made his second appearance on Saturday Night Live yesterday, acting as host and musical guest for the episode. Of course, this meant he kicked off the show with an opening monologue, which found the rapper waxing poetic about second place not being so bad.

"Sometimes the second best is better than the first," he rapped, naming off brands, films, people and characters like Bing, Pepsi, late-night host Adam Carolla and Super Mario Brother Luigi.

Donning a Chicago Teachers Union crewneck, the rapper spoke to the audience after his opening bars to throw support behind their current strike. "If you don't remember, last time I was here I gave $1 million to Chicago Public Schools and I'm happy to say it completely fixed everything," he told the audience semi-sarcastically before continuing. "But honestly, to the teachers in Chicago, I know you're on strike right now. I fully support you."

The CTU has been on strike for nearly two weeks, attempting to come to an agreement with Chicago Public Schools on key issues including class sizes, adequate nurse and social worker staffing as well as fair wages for school clerks and teaching assistants, according to ABC 7 in Chicago.
