Perth-born, Los Angeles-based songwriter, singer and producer Laura Jane Lowther — aka KUČKA — has released “Drowning,” her first solo single in three years. A pounding, claustrophobic, dance-adjacent cut, “Drowning” features additional production by KUČKA’s frequent collaborator Flume. While KUČKA doesn’t have a large body of work, she’s a prolific collaborator — over the past few years, she’s appeared on Vince Staples’ Big Fish Theory, Flume’s Skin and Hi, My Name Is Flume, A$AP Rocky’s LONG.LIVE.ASAP, and more. “Drowning” is her first release for new label LuckyMe; per a press release, she's also working on new music with Flume, Nosaj Thing, Vegyn, and Baauer.
