Lucky Daye is the Prince-adoring New Orleans R&B songwriter who has co-written songs for Ne-Yo, Ella Mai, Trey Songz, and more. That should give you a sense of the vibe on "Love You Too Much." The closing track for his debut album Painted is a smoldering ballad written in the radioactive afterglow of an apocalyptic argument when it's tough to find your bearings, but there are enough deep feelings for you to begin to take stock of things. The music video, directed by Child, places Lucky Daye into different settings: an intimate concert, a kitchen full of broken dishes, and a tender embrace. Pieced together, the picture is incomplete, but compelling nonetheless. Watch the music video for "Love You Too Much" above.
