On Christmas eve, former President Obama shared a new public service announcement for My Brother’s Keeper Alliance starring Chance the Rapper and Warrior’s player Steph Curry.
In 2014, Obama created My Brother’s Keeper to encourage mentorship and opportunities for young men and boys in communities of color. “I want you to know, you matter,” Obama says at the beginning of the video. “There is nothing, not a single thing, that's more important to the future of America than whether or not young people all across this country can achieve their dreams." The PSA is made up of a montage of young men, Chance, Curry, and Obama watching a viral video.
Chance and the former President go way back, since the rapper's father worked under Obama while he was still a senator. Curry was attacked by the Trump administration in September for declining an invite to visit the White House.
