Björk confirms Utopia album details

Björk has announced details of her forthcoming ninth studio album. Utopia will be released on November 24. Earlier this year the Icelandic artist shared the first song from the album, "The Gate."

Writing on Instagram on Tuesday, Björk said she was "overwhelmingly humble" to be announcing the news of her album and thanked collaborators including co-producer Arca. "What a profound and nourishing trip this has been!" she added.

In a recent interview Björk revealed that Texas-based producer Rabit also worked on one of the album's tracks. The artwork, seen above, was created by Jesse Kanda. Utopia is the follow-up to 2015's Vulnicura.
