Lin-Manuel Miranda has shared “Almost Like Praying,” an all-star benefit single for Puerto Rico. The single features Hamilton creator Miranda plus Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan, Fat Joe, Camila Cabello, Luis Fonsi, Marc Anthony, actor Gina Rodriguez, Ruben Blades, and Dessa.
“Almost Like Praying” interpolates a line from “Maria” from the musical West Side Story while at another point the various artists name the 78 towns and municipalities in Puerto Rico.

“I was very wary of writing a song that felt like homework,” Miranda told the New York Times. “I wanted to write a danceable tune that is just everywhere, and by being everywhere, is doing good.”
All proceeds from the track will go to the Hispanic Federation disaster relief fund, who are providing aid to Puerto Ricans following Hurricane Maria.
