Frank Ocean played what is scheduled to be his penultimate festival set of the summer at Sweden's Way Out West on Thursday night. Unlike his other recent shows, which have seen the singer play with a small band of musicians, the Way Out West set included additional input from a string ensemble.
The string players, which included Rex Orange County among their ranks, were on stage for an extended version of Blonde tracks "Nikes," "Good Guy" and "Ivy" as well as "Forrest Gump" and his cover of the Jackson 5's "Never Can Say Goodbye" among others. Footage from the set can be seen below. The original image of Ocean's string section was tweeted by regular collaborator Vegyn.
As with past shows, Ocean wore a memorable T-Shirt on stage. For his Sweden show he wore a plain white shirt with "Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills" written on the back.
