Chance The Rapper kicked off his Be Encouraged Tour in San Diego on Monday night, April 24. During the set Chance nodded towards his involvement in Kanye West's 2016 album The Life Of Pablo by performing his version of the song "Waves."
A reminder: before West's album was released last year, Chance tweeted that he was battling to get the song included. "I fought everyone to keep "Waves" on the album", he wrote at the time. "I spent all night finishing it. The world is better because of it." The Chicago MC subsequently played a demo of his version to Zane Lowe during a Beats 1 interview last May.
