The World Is A Metronome In Harrison’s Video For “Right Hook”

Harrison's song "Right Hook" is a glamorous future-funk jam, but the Toronto producer didn't just have dancing on his mind when he was making it. "I couldn't fight the feeling that the bass made me want to bounce a bit," Harrison told The FADER in an email. "That feeling was also met with the thought of wanting to sock someone is the face, hence the name." Eva Michon directed the song's visuals, premiering today on The FADER, and it emphasizes the sense of universal oneness that can come with a good club night.

The clip's lead, a jogger, finds her world easily syncing up with Harrison's song, and embraces how the world's BPM matches hers. "The video for 'Right Hook' is an exploration of visual time-keeping," Michon told us. "I am always mesmerized when the beat of a song I'm listening to on headphones, synchronizes with movement in the real world. The ponytail of a jogger or a dancer is one of the greatest things to watch, and was the initial inspiration and jumping-off point for the video concept."
