It's official: Migos have the No. 1 song in the country with their Lil Uzi Vert-assisted single "Bad and Boujee," Billboard reports. Over the past two months, the song has steadily climbed up the charts thanks to impressive streaming numbers spurred on by viral memes and posts about the song, reaching the No. 2 spot last week behind Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" last week, and claiming the top spot on Monday.
The song topped the Streaming Songs chart for the second week in a row with a total of 35.3 million streams. The highest streaming numbers for the song have come from YouTube, where the video was viewed 19.3 million times. Spotify streams for "Bad and Boujee" numbered 9.2 million, while the track's plays on subscription services totaled 15.9 million over the past week. "Bad and Boujee" is also the first No. 1 for 300 Entertainment and Quality Control.
Next week, the song will probably receive an additional boost from a very high profile look. During his acceptance speech on Sunday night at the Golden Globes, Donald Glover took some time out to give the group and their hit song a special shout-out. "I really wanna thank the Migos, not for being in the show, but for making "Bad and Boujee," Glover said. "That's the best song ever."
Since Glover's speech, streams of the song on Spotify increased by 243% on Monday compared to the same point last week and the song's video was viewed over 10 million times. The song has now been streamed 62 million times on Spotify. "Bad and Boujee" is Migos's first single from their upcoming sophomore album, Culture, due out January 27.
