Earlier this week, BET aired Love & Happiness, An Obama Celebration, a celebration that brought performances from Common, Usher, Janelle Monae, and more to The White House. Today, BET let loose individual clips from the event, showcasing some of the night's key moments.
The celebration, which the President jokingly called Barack Obama's Block Party, hosted a huge group of luminaries in the world of black music and entertainment, including Samuel L. Jackson, Questlove, Jesse Williams, Yolanda Adams, and Dave Chappelle, who spoke on the power of the event during his SNL monologue last weekend. And yes, Bradley Cooper was there too.
Above, Common performs "The Light and "The People." Below, Usher doing "Yeah" and "Caught Up" backed by The Roots, and President Obama's intro to the show. More clips here, via BET.
