Joey Bada$$ will be making his acting debut on the upcoming season of cyber-thriller television series Mr. Robot.
After a successful 10-episode run, for which the series earned a Golden Globe for Best Drama, as well as best new series accolades from the Writers Guild of America, the second season will continue to follow computer security hacker-turned-hacktivist Elliot Alderson, played by Rami Malek. The Pro Era rapper will play a recurring role of a close friend of Elliott’s, waxing philosophical and watching out for him on his journey to help overthrow the corrupt E Corp, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series is filmed in New York, and season two is expected to premiere this summer.
Between running Pro Era, lecturing at university and conducting Twitter research on fellow New York rappers, Joey Bada$$ better find some time to sharpen his acting chops and read up on his script.
