Daft Punk Have Made A “Tribute Film” For Chic’s New Album
Nile Rodgers says you’ll be able to watch it “within the next few weeks.”
As Chic gear up to release It's About Time, their first album since 1992, Nile Rodgers has revealed that Daft Punk will be providing a special "transmission" to complement the record. Rodgers tweeted today that the French robot superstars have made a "tribute film" for Chic and his work in general, and that it'll be available to watch "within a few weeks."
Rodgers explained the moving concept of It's About Time recently on his blog: "Four years ago I was stricken with very aggressive cancer and I wasn't sure how much time I had left. I decided the album's concept would be about time and I'd feature as many people from the lifespan of CHIC that I could on it." Expect the first single to drop on March 20, followed by a video directed by Inez & Vinoodh and featuring supermodel and pal of Taylor Swift, Karlie Kloss.
