Grizzly Bear's Daniel Rossen has kept pretty quiet solo-wise since he released his 2012 Silent Hour/Golden Mile EP but soon he'll be making his musical return, helming the score for the upcoming film Valedictorian. Perhaps he picked up some industry insights when Grizzly Bear contributed songs to the soundtrack for Blue Valentine? Rossen shared the first taste of the score today, explaining, "The film is the story of a young man that slowly walks away from his life in New York and fades into the background of the city over the course of a year. It's split up into 12 scenes, one for each month, and my task was to score a short piece of music to mark each passing month." Listen to his piece for July and check out the film's trailer below.
