A24 has confirmed indie rock band Grizzly Bear‘s lead vocalist and guitarist Daniel Rossen and drummer Christopher Bear are scoring a new film from the indie distro giant. Past Lives, a modern romance about childhood friends, is debuting in New York and Los Angeles on June 2. The score is set to release on June 9.
“What a pleasure it was to score this film with [Rossen] and make music I feel very connected with,” Bear writes on Instagram. “Celine Song is a force and had such incredible vision and execution.” Song, a Korean-Canadian playwright and screenwriter, is making her directorial debut with the movie.
A24 has also revealed Past Lives’ soundtrack. It features an original song, “Quiet Eyes,” by renown singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten. See the full tracklist below.
