Indie rock legends Sleater-Kinney took their fans by surprise this weekend by hinting at new material with the inclusion of a mysterious 7" in the release of their seven album vinyl box set Start Together on Sub Pop. As it turns out, the sneaky reveal was a precursor to the official news that Sub Pop are going to release the trio's first new album in 10 years, No Cities To Love, on January 19/20 2015 worldwide. Guitarist/vocalist Carrie Brownstein tantalisingly says of the upcoming record, "We sound possessed on these songs...willing it all—the entire weight of the band and what it means to us—back into existence." For confirmation that this is real life, check the artwork, tracklist and North American and European tour dates (!!), all below. Oh, and another thing: the frantic new single "Bury Our Friends" can now be streamed in full via the unnerving video featuring Miranda July above, and it's excellent.
