Last night Jon Stewart pulled off a feat of historic hip-hop proportions: getting all nine surviving members of the Wu-Tang Clan on TV, for an appearance on The Daily Show. The collective of Ghostface Killah, RZA, Raekwon, Method Man, U-God, Inspectah Deck, GZA, Cappadonna and Masta Killa performed their new single, “Ron O'Neal,” and an old favorite, "Triumph," from the 1997 album Wu-Tang Forever.

The appearance comes as Wu-Tang is set to release A Better Tomorrow in November, the group's first new album since 2007's 8 Diagrams.  “I think we're all striving for a better tomorrow,” said RZA, who reportedly buried the hatchet with Raekwon. “We have something in common with each other as as a brotherhood. And when we say a 'better tomorrow,' we're striving to make a better tomorrow for ourselves, but also inspire a better tomorrow for the world.”

When asked if he had reservations about coming back to the fold, Ghostface Killah told Stewart: “This is my life right here. Me and the Abbot [RZA]—this is my brother-in-law. So we've been tight ever since day one. As soon as he said, 'Yo, we're coming back to do A Better Tomorrow' -- I'm always with it...I'll take one for the team. And I don't got a problem with that."

“I think we've been so blessed to have the same job for the past 21 years and not hurt nobody doing it," added Method Man. "As soon as we came together for one common cause, we knew that what we were doing was something different and something great. And it showed and proved in the end.”
