Last week, Chicago's Katie Got Bandz released the follow-up to lsat summer's Drillary Clinton. The sequel is hosted and entirely produced by Block on Da Trakk, who gives the mixtape a dark, monochromatic drill sound that fits right with Katie's fight-or-fight lyrical focus. Countless Chicago rappers have focused their output on soundtracking physical violence, but Katie's assertive shouts still stand out against peers that lean heavily on vocal manipulation. There's one huge missed opportunity here, though: Drillary Clinton is one of the best mixtape titles ever, yet Block on Da Trakk repeatedly refers to it as "DC 2" instead. Severely lacking.
