On Wednesday, news broke that Katie Got Bandz had been arrested for identity theft. According to public records on the Cook County Sheriff Department's website, the Chicago rapper was being held on $50,000 bond and was scheduled to make an appearance in court on August 21.

Early Thursday morning, Katie Got Bandz shared a video announcing her release on Instagram. In the short video, Katie addresses the incident and says that she has new music coming soon. Watch the clip above.
