FADER PREMIERE
On July 8th, LA's Matt Kivel, formerly of Gap Dream, will release his sophomore collection of mellow guitar jams called Days of Being Wild. "Insignificance" has a warmly familiar sound and the dusky guitar lead reminds me of a couple different songs at once. It's splashed with a little whiskey and a little sunshine, coming off like timeless folk-rock with a new-school soul. New York label Woodsist is putting out the record, which seems like a more than appropriate home for Kivel's pretty and restrained songwriting.
