Vince Staples and Mac Miller are currently driving around deserts in the Western US, sharing a bus, playing shows on Mac's stacked Space Migration tour, watching movies and cracking jokes at one another's expense. Earlier this month, during the tour's New York stop, they stopped by Brooklyn's Grand St. Bakery. After changing into overalls and a new pair of patterned shorts from the vintage shop, they talked about Pootie Tang and The Grinch, how Vince learned to rap and Jay Z's advanced age. Their friendship is warm, and Vince's talent is raw, as evidenced in his freestyle and recent tape Stolen Youth. Mac produced that entire project, which you can download here.
