Eternal optimist Common imparts his wealth of positive energy while longtime partner No I.D. loops a steady, ricocheting beat under choir vocals and a bold piano. Fellow G.O.O.D. Music affiliate John Legend lends his voice; It sounds like he's singing with his head thrown back and a smile on his face. "The Believer" has a sister track, "The Dreamer," featuring wonder woman Maya Angelou. They'll bookend Common's new album The Dreamer/The Believer, in stores December 20th.
