It's not totally weird to think of Yo Gotti as Young Jeezy's Memphis counterpoint. They both have raspy voices that work best over intensely gothic beats. "Colors," however, illustrates their differences just as much as it highlights their similarities. Gotti thrives on less fleshed out tracks like this one, which hinges on a massive bell gong that we will never get tired of hearing until we get tired of hearing it, but that's a whole other thing. Aside from that, it's good to hear Gucci on a track like this, even if his verse feels phoned-in. Also notable: Juelz Santana! More specifically, Juelz Santana with an unusually hoarse voice rapping white car, that's my cool whip.
