As much as Woods are about sweet and dark acoustic intimacy, they're also about completely fried jams. "Out of the Eye" is one of those songs. It's built on a locked groove that swirls endlessly. There are maybe some bird calls in the background, too. This track frames Woods as the ultimate jam band, unafraid to get strange and loose when they need to, but still totally down to create beautifully accessible rock music. It's like going to a buffet that only has your favorite foods, and all your favorite foods happen to go really well together.
