Beach House is some of the best autumn music—Victoria LeGrand's beautiful voice has the crinkle of gilded leaves in New England. And maybe it's because the seasons are shifting and we're feeling all aligned with the natural world, but "White Moon" sounds like a plea to some ancient pagan god in hopes of melding as one with the night light. Whether LeGrand's trying to become a wood sprite or just singing some delicate relationship maxim, this new lullaby is as dreamy and corporeal as anything from their excellent Teen Dream. Incidentally, "White Moon" comes from their iTunes Sessions, a live studio jam which consists of mostly tracks from that album.
