As we learned in our interview with electronic legend Andrew Weatherall last year, he's got a morbid sense of humor in that quintessentially British sense, the kind of dude who thinks super-graphic, bloody tales of human demise are a super hoot. In other words, he's psychic kin with Nick Cave, who clearly thinks having a bloody-mouthed, terrifying demon cheerleader repping his evil project Grinderman is a real laugh riot. (Fine, fine, it is.) Weatherall's more electronically inclined, though, so he stripped out "Heathen Child"'s guitar grind and nestled Cave's devilish sex whispers in a bed of synth bass, perhaps in homage to those fellow moustachio'd monster men who can shoot lasers out of their eyes. We salute all of you and your sick-minded ideas.
