Report: Spotify is populating its playlists with “ghost artists”

A Harper's Magazine report alleges that some of Spotify's biggest ambient, classical, jazz, and lo-fi-hip-hop playlists are populated with music by "ghost artists," reducing the number of musicians the company pays royalties to.
