IZCO announces debut album Powerscroft with “Strike A Pose”
Powerscroft arrives May 1 from the garage and broken beat producer
East London producer IZCO has announced his debut album Powerscraft, out May 1. He’s also dropped off the first taste of the new record with lead single “Strike A Pose” featuring R&B singer Camille Munn.
“Strike A Pose” rides a jangling broken beat rhythm sprinkled with ear candy marimbas; Munn’s insistent vocals swirl hypnotically around the instrumental. In an emailed statement, IZCO said the song is “about when someone changes and it’s hard to recognize them.”
IZCO is a close collaborator of Nia Archives and Reek0 via his Brighter Days Family collective. More pop-minded readers might have heard his work on “Passion” by PinkPantheress, which he coproduced alongside JKarri.
No details on the album's contents for now, but IZCO will be touring the U.K. from late February into May supporting the record. See those dates below.
