Bon Iver "Day One" video still
Jacob Elordi is among the star names auditioning to replace Bon Iver's Justin Vernon in the musician's comical new "Day One" video. The video shows the Euphoria and Saltburn actor donning a beanie and fake beard after Vernon announces his "retirement" and holds a casting call for his successor. Check it out below.
In addition to Elordi, the "Day One" video also sees fellow musicians (and Bon Iver collaborators) St. Vincent, Dijon, and Flock of Dimes' Jenn Wasner lining up to try their luck at being the next Vernon. The Penguin actor Cristin Milioti, who appeared alongside Vernon in promo materials for the latest Bon Iver album SABLE, fABLE, is also in the mix as part of the Kylin SolanoIn-directed clip.
The "Day One" video follows the visual for "From," in which Vernon starred as a divorce attorney and limousine driver, as well as John Wilson's video for "Everything Is Peaceful Love."
Elordi will soon be seen opposite Margot Robbie in the upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights. Emerald Fennel's latest movie is due for release in 2026 and will feature original music by Charli xcx.
