FKA twigs and Shia LaBeouf have reached an out-of-court settlement to the sexual battery lawsuit twigs brought against her former partner in 2019.

TMZ first reported the news on Tuesday (July 22) with a joint statement from LaBeouf's lawyer, Shawn Holley, and twigs's attorney, Bryan Freedman. "Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court. While the details of the settlement will remain private, we wish each other personal happiness, professional success and peace in the future." twigs has reportedly asked the court to dismiss her case with prejudice, preventing her from refiling the suit in the future.

twigs launched her lawsuit against LaBeouf in December 2020, seeking $10 million for sexual battery, assault, and emotional distress allegedly suffered during their relationship. twigs was one of several women who came forward that same month to speak with the New York Times about their experiences with LaBeouf.

LaBeouf declared that many of the allegations were "not true," while adding, "I am not in the position to defend any of my actions. I owe these women the opportunity to air their statements publicly and accept accountability for those things I have done."
