Just in time for spring's season of renewal, Stereolab have announced Instant Holograms On Metal Film, the first new album in 15 years from the French-English pop group. The project is out May 23 via Duophonic UHF Disks / Warp; a day later, the band will embark on a massive world tour. Scroll down to see those dates.
Below, you can hear the band pick up pretty much exactly where they left off with the new single "Aerial Troubles." A bit of space-age yacht rock here, a bit of piqued choral harmonies there, "Aerial Trouble" doesn't waste any time settling into the Stereolab-shaped groove in your brain. The song appears in a new music video directed by Laurent Askienazy.
