Wet Leg have announced a new album; the U.K. indie rock band will release moisturizer on July 11 via Domino. Today, they have shared the album's lead single “catch these fists,” which arrives with a self-directed video shot on the Isle of Wight. The clip finds the band dancing to a boombox in the countryside and includes a nod to their own "Chaise Lounge" video. Check it out below.
moisturizer is the follow-up to Wet Leg's 2022 self-titled debut. That album went to No.1 in their home country and secured the band a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
The new album was written by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, alongside bandmates Henry Holmes, Josh Mobaraki, and Ellis Durand, in March 2024. Dan Carey (Black Midi, Fontaines D.C.) returns as producer.
Press materials accompanying news of the album include a list of moisturizer's "active ingredients." They include "ketamine, true love, every Alien film, devotion, rapid success, guitars, and lesbian sex," plus British TV host Davina McCall, who one of the songs is named after.
