Playboi Carti's new album, MUSIC, has debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. It sold 298,000 equivalent album units, Billboard reports. MUSIC is Carti's second studio album to debut at No. 1, following 2021's Whole Lotta Red.
Billboard notes that the album enjoyed the biggest week of 2025 for a rap album, as well as the biggest streaming week for a rap album since Drake released For All the Dogs in 2023. So far this year only The Weeknd's Hurry Up Tomorrow has sold more units in a week than MUSIC did in its first week of release.
Carti released MUSIC on March. He made the album with producers F1LTHY and Cardo Got Wings among others. Guests on the album include Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Future, and more. He followed the album release with a headline performance at Rolling Loud California.
