Lucy Dacus has announced details of a new studio album and headline tour. Forever Is A Feeling is due on March 28 via Geffen Records. Today's announcement arrives alongside two songs from the album, "Limerence" and "Ankles." A video for the latter starring Bottoms star Havana Rose Liu can be seen below.
Forever Is A Feeling is Dacus' fourth album and her first since she picked up three Grammys as part of boygenius. Her bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker both appear on the album, as do Hozier and Bartees Strange. Other contributors include Blake Mills and Jay Som's Melina Duterte.
“I got kicked in the head with emotions,” Dacus says of the album, which was written between Fall 2022 and Summer 2024. “Falling in love, falling out of love... You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life.”
Dacus will follow the release of the album with a headline tour of North America in April. Support for the Spring dates comes from MUNA's Katie Gavin and jasmine.4.t. A pre-sale for tickets begins on January 21 with public on sale following on January 24. $1 from each ticket will be donated to those impacted by the L.A. wildfires via the PLUS1 LA Fires Fund.
