"I am so excited to finally share my full story in book form,” the veteran R&B singer said, exclusively announcing the book with People. “This memoir is the result of countless hours of reflection, work and healing. I hope readers will find comfort and inspiration in these pages.”

The book will be released on October 7 via Hanover Square, and is as of yet still without a title. It's expected to recount her full life's story from her childhood in Mississippi, to finding fame with her 1994 debut self-titled album, to her star-turn in the sitcom Moesha, Cinderella, and more.

Per People, the book will also thematically touch on her experiences with body image, bullying, love, and heartbreak, and detail “the unimaginable lows” of Brandy's life.

"It's such an honor and such a blessing to be able to inspire people," the star told People about the endeavor. "To be able to have purpose that way, to be able to encourage young girls to dream big and to go after what you want."
